It is distinct from what is known as patch work in which small pieces of cut fabrics are usually joined side by side to make a large piece of fabric or for repairing a damaged fabric.

bed spreads Nov 13, 2007 Made in handloom woven cotton fabric, bed spreads from Jaipur are eye catching. Beautiful traditional Indian motifs are hand block printed by artisans of Jaipur. There is also some thread embroidery around each motif.These natural block printed bed spreads have some kind of air conditioning effort. They make you feel cool in summers and warm in winters.
